The temperature is yet to really cool, but new autumn/winter pieces are certainly?selling through. Everyone knows the first drops of winter are normally the best so if your wardrobe needs updating, here?s what?s hot right now.
Neutrals and basics, the building blocks of a?winter wardrobe, have been the most popular in the past week. We visited a handful of stores to find out what?s popular:
Sambag
Sambag?s famous soft leather ballet flats are always a popular choice and this week?s best seller is the Natalie. Hand crafted leather and a timeless style give these a big tick for casual winter errand-running.
Country Road
This beautiful knit is a blend of Australian marino wool and silk, and comes in five colours (black, cream, grey, soft pink and navy ? pictured). Wear layered over a collared shirt in a plain?or print, or layered with a long, draping scarf and coat. The fit is slightly longer in keeping with winter?s relaxed silhouettes.
Country Road mens
Country Road?s slim chinos are always popular, and are selling particularly well at the moment for winter wardrobes ? they look more winter-appropriate and dressier with a jumper or knit than jeans. If slim fit isn?t for you, Country Road?s standard fit chinos also come in two leg lengths. Try both to find the right?fit.
Cue
Cue?s wool blend cape has sold out online and there are precious few in store ? it?s been an absolute hit. Its slim line and fastening all the way to the neck means it?s beautifully warm without being too heavy-looking. Great for work or play.
Saba
The Saba Karlie cardi comes in a standard and longer length and can be worn several ways ? as a draping cardigan, more like a blazer, and crossed at the front for a completely different look. The short length comes in white, grey and black for $149 and the longer length in black and camel ($199).
