Construction has commenced on the $34 million commitment to the redevelopment of Castletown which will see the arrival of Coles, new specialty retailers, a new entry statement, upgraded car parking, improved facilities, new parent facilities and a revitalised Playtown.
Whilst you will start to see adjustments to the car parks adjacent to the Australia Post entrance, basement travelator that leads up to Travel Associates and in the basement car park underneath the Big W loading dock we still have plenty of undercover car parking available and every entrance remains open for easy access. The new entrance (pictured above) will be located beside the Travel Associates travellator with access via the Woolcock Street ground level car park once complete, and a new lift will be installed from the basement car park that allows easy access to the new entrance and Coles.
Access into the centre via the travellator (beside Travel Associates), the Australia Post entrance and the Westpac entrance all continue to remain open and you can still travel around to PlayTown via the common mall passing Novo and around to Typo the way you always have when visiting the Food Court. PlayTown remains open as does the Food Court and we hope you continue to enjoy the little updates we have made during your next visit. Make sure you say HELLO to Good Morning Coffee Traders, Red Dragon, Origin Kebabs and New Zealand Natural who all continue to trade out of the Food Court and a reminder all your favourite retailers continue to remain open for trade.
We will continue to keep you updated as the redevelopment progresses and we are also very excited about some pending leasing announcements … so stay tuned!
We remain committed to creating a place dedicated to the everyday things, the little things that make up a lifetime! Our door is always open, here we reconnect, re-imagine and rediscover everyday.
