Construction is about to commence on the $34 million redevelopment of Castletown, which will see the arrival of Coles, new specialty retailers, a new entry statement, upgraded car parking, improved facilities, new parent facilities and a revitalised Playtown.
The new entrance (pictured above) will be located beside the travellator with access via the Woolcock Street ground level car park once complete. In the meantime, access into the centre via the travellator (beside Travel Associates), the Australia Post entrance and the Westpac entrance all remain open and you can still travel around to PlayTown via the common mall passing Novo and around to Typo the way you always have when visiting the Food Court.
PlayTown will continue to remain open as does the Food Court and we hope you enjoy the little updates we have made during your next visit. Make sure you say HELLO to Good Morning Coffee Traders who have relocated to and are trading out of the Food Court to make way for redevelopment works. At the end of July, works will commence on replacing the Food Court with a mix of specialty stores and PlayTown will be upgraded and relocated to sit within the specialty mix.
Remember all your favourite retailers remain open for trade, we have plenty of undercover car parking and every entrance remains open for easy access.
Each month we will keep you updated as the redevelopment progresses and we are also very excited about some pending leasing announcements … so stay tuned!
We remain committed to creating a place dedicated to the everyday things, the little things that make up a lifetime! Our door is always open, here we reconnect, re-imagine and rediscover everyday.
